10-Night Dalmatian & Amalfi Coasts
Lush coastlines peppered with islets, superb stretches of beach, and influences from Roman, Venetian, and Slavic cultures make Croatia a captivating destination-perfect for exploring from your boutique hotel at sea on this 10-night voyage. From romantic Venice, it’s off to Rovinj on Croatia’s Istrian peninsula. Picturesque and perched on the Adriatic Sea, its medieval façade gives way to a town with a cool cosmopolitan vibe.
Popular with yachters and celebrities, Hvar is known as the “Sunniest Place in Europe”-so get outside and enjoy it! Go on an off-road excursion through remote villages and rolling vineyards. Smell the lavender, and work up an appetite for lobster with homemade spaghetti accompanied a glass of local wine.
Next stop is Split, where the old world collides with modern life in Croatia’s second-largest city. Don’t miss the breathtaking Diocletian’s Palace-a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, it’s on to the medieval town and marble streets of Korcula. Yell “Marco” here and you’ll likely get a “Polo” back. The renowned explored was born right here. We stay late in Dubrovnik, a must-see, walled city of golden stone, then call on Kotor, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the Adriatic.
A day at sea takes us around Italy’s always fashionable boot to Sorrento. Treat your taste buds to limoncello, meander the pedestrian-only streets, or take a hydrofoil over to the legendary isle of Capri. Ajaccio, Corsica is the home of Napoleon and is a treasure trove of historic sites and Renaissance art, and our last stop before we conclude in chic Nice.
